  1. Cushing's Syndrome ΓÇô Adrenal Carcinomas

  3. Adrenal tumours may occur at any age, but predominate in children, particularly carcinomas. Their underlying aetiology is not known. 
  4. Carcinomas are usually locally aggressive and large (over 6cm in diameter); they may be palpable abdominally and may disseminate widely via the blood. 
  5. Excess androgen production is common with adrenal tumours, but is usually only severe enough to cause virilisation with carcinomas.
